I get this error sometimes when using my ipod touch. It can take about 10mins to reconise. It can be a pain.

i gave up with my iPhone, although my theory is that it's because some of the music isn't mp3, coz it won't play the .m4a files on my usb stick either
so i've now got a 16gb usb stick that lives in my car, and have bluetooth from my iPhone if i so wish.
