Radio Receiver Broken

I've got a 2016 plate DS3, and I've been having issues with my in-car entertainment, and it turns out after a diagnostics test that the receiver in the radio has gone and the whole thing would need to be replaced (?800 - which is approx. 20% of what I paid for the car!)
Has this happened to anyone else, and would replacing the in-car entertainment system be an alternative?
