Can you fit - 9702 EZ USB BOX without a dealer laptop

Evening, I have seen the 9702 EZ USB box on the citroen service website. It appears straight forward to fit. The question is, if I wire it in, will it work, or does a dealer have to be involved to enable it.

I have Dstyle+ with the rubbish Aux port and would like the USB box. Also havnt found any yet, but can you buy this direct or do you have to go via a dealer and get fleeced.

Boo,is this something an auto electrician/ self emp mechanic may have for resetting the service clock etc, or is it more specialised an only dealers have them.

You need the Lexia/Dialogbox in order to program the car to let it know the box is there. You could fit it in yourself and ask your local dealer to do the programming.

Thanks for the replies, had a couple of issues with car since collecting it this week so maybe able to get then to switch it on for free.
