Vented vs Bandpass ?

Yo guys. Im currently using a 12" Vibe Black Air vented active sub, but wanted to ask what the difference is between vented and Bandpass and if there are any major sound differences between the 2. Thinking of getting the new Vibe Bandpass sub but not sure on what the sound is like compared to my current one.

It all depends on what style of music you listen to and more importantly how you like your bass I.e tight and concise or muddy/loud bass - once youve decided on your taste requirements look into what each box offers you, then decide on what size sub you want to go for - again the size of a sub also has an effect on the style/type of sound you will achieve.

Band pass subs offer more efficiency in a narrower frequency range, ie you will get more volume from the same sub but on less bass notes. Sealed subs are least efficient but tighter and more musical bass. Vented subs tend to be somewhere in the middle. As Stonesy said, really depends on the sort of music you listen to or the effect you want from the sub.
