7inch Car Play/Android Play Screen

Hi All
My DS3 2016 does not have Android Play which is a bit of a bummer but hey it is what it is.
I've seen quite a few of these third party 7inch (and other sizes) tablet type things that are basically interfaces for Android Play/Car Play etc.
Has anyone got one of these and and they any good is the first question
The second question is where would it be placed. There is the existing screen but not too sure if its good to put one of these on there using the sucker method, there is the blank space underneath the temp controls (never worked out what that is actually for, spare change maybe) - maybe an attachment can be made there?
Just curious as these are quite reasonably priced these days.

Does anyone have (or know of) a mount that can be used on the DS3. I'd like it to sit in the middle of the dash (on the top) but cannot really use a screen mount as its too. far away. Best solution would be a suction mount but not real sure if one would be able to stay on the dash of a DS3 as they are made of a softish fabric.

Any ideas what is out there?
