Bluetooth Connection Issue - Blackberry Bold 9700

Hi Folks,
I've just taken delivery of my DS3 Sport+ and had great difficulty in pairing the 'phone with the Bluetooth system in the car. I got there in the end, but the 'phone doesn't automatically pair when I get into the car, I have to manually connect it via the menu on the audio interface. Is this right?
Also, when I did a search for the 'phone via the menu it didn't find the 'phone, but the 'phone found the car and gave it a BT_RADIO identifier. Is this right?

When I get in to the car, I'll have to wait about 30sec for my phone (iphone) to pair up with my car. But she does it automaticlly.
And if I remember it correctly, my phone found my car before my car found my phone....

But what can fix your problem, I dont know. sorry.

Not had experience with the blackberry bold in car. The car won't find the phone unless you have bluetooth discovery turned on on your phone. For some reason reason I always find it best to pair from the car to the phone rather than vice versa (no idea why). 1 trick in connecting automatically is making sure your bluetooth is on before you start the car- it connects much quicker- my s3 connects almost as soon as I turn the key like that.

So Try:

1) delete the pairing on both the phone and the car (bluetooth-delete device)
2) On the blackberry turn on bluetooth dicovery (usually 1m30s)
3) On the car goto bluetooth-search for devices and then pair them and ok the car to consult to the device
4) Turn the car off. Make sure your BT is still turned on on your phone- turn the key (doesn't have to start the engine, standby is fine)

Hopefully you should then be fine

Thanks Chief. I'll give this a try. I've checked on the BB and discovered that the "discoverable" option is set to "no" and locked! I'll have to get the IT folks at my company to unlock it. Alternatively I'll just have to manually connect when I'm in the car.

Takes a sec to unlock using the admin tool- but thats the only reason the car couldn't find your phone
