  • USB error - will not play anything - Frozen?

    Evening

Just popped out to the car and switched to USB and was greeted with this

Usually it starts within a few seconds but it's doing nada. Shows the same screen whether the USB stick is inserted or removed.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

When my phone froze the head unit I had to disconnect the negative battery lead to clear it, was ok after that.... There is no code for the radio (it's coded by Citroen to the car ECU I think) so you have nothing to lose.

It hasn't completely froze though. Just wont play from USB. I can switch between Bluetooth, radio etc fine :s

Might give the battery a go then when it's light.

Well assuming the USB isn't broken the reset may help, I suspect your dealer will do that first off....

Maybe took it to the dealer who do to there inexplicable fervent belief that all things Citroen are infallible, are still diligently waiting for the wait message to go out

It seems to have fixed itself for now. Started the car this morning and the music started playing from USB. Hopefully that's the last of it!

Mine does that all the time , usually kills the bluetooth connection to the phone as well . Usually reverts back to normal the next time I use the car.

I only have problems with my iPod Classic. It worked fine the first week I had the car, but now it remains in "wait"-mode. Music from a USB-stick is no problem! But iPod should be working too, no?

Happened to me too but is fine now but think it was due to me having the bluetooth connection for my iphone which has music on it and usb connection and bluetooth at the same time for my ipod.

Confused the system. Removed my ipod from the car and all is ok.

Get the same on my 2014 THP Cab.

With my iPod classic, just locks up and sits on the wait screen. Ive reset the iPod, disconnected and reconnected the USB, powered down the stereo etc. Nothing seems to fix it. its just stuck. It did it once before for about a day but fixed itself. This has been over a week now.

Can I ask what size the USB was?

Been seeing this issue more and more where people use large capacity sticks, I always recommend using a couple of smaller 4GB sticks instead. Besides scrolling through hundreds of folders to get to the track you want is a pest!
