Bluetooth Quality

I get quite a lot of people complaining about the quality of calls when I make or receive calls from my car.

Most of the complaints are that they can't hear me properly, even when I talk louder than I normally would or lean forward (towards where I assume the microphone is).I know it's not my phone (Samsung S3) as it has worked fine in other cars.

Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas or thoughts about how I can improve it? Can I boost the microphone gain/volume?

The Microphone is by the rear view mirror and no mine seems to work fine ? there is a little background noise depending on the surface you are driving on but no one has complained that they cannot hear me
