Alpine Stereo DSport+ (Screen/nav)

Hello DS3 peeps, looking to order my car this weekend and I can't afford the SAT Navm never fear though I have one of these lovely Alpine head units from my M3:



Now I have read it is possible to fit an aftermarket unit, I am guessing the HU is Canbus so will need some sort of control unit?


But I have heard if you remove the standard unit I will void the warranty, and also I wont be able to change the clock and other functions?

Whats the deal can any of you help?

Should Not void warranty, unless the problem was to do with that feature. And yes its true you wont be able to change the clock and other functions.

You can change the clock! I have a aftermarket alpine unit and whilst playing around with the steering wheel controls, discovered that if you simultaniously hold down the fast forward and back buttons then that brings up the menu which you can navigate with the steering wheel control.

So what about Trip computer etc? DRL's? Do I lose this or can it be stalk controlled?
