  • Standard head unit - does it take a CD changer?

I'm picking up my DS3 on Friday; does anyone know, is there a CD changer input on the stock orange display head unit and what make it is?

Thanks, but I already tried that, which is why I'm asking...

I don't know if it will take a CD changer, but it will play back MP3's from a CD - you can rip a dozen or so CD's onto a single CD in MP3 format, which gives the same functionality as a CD changer without the extra cost.

Yes it will take a CD Changer, PSA do an In-Dash one (4 or 5 discs I think) which is normally seen in some Pugs.

You may sacrifice the USB socket to get it working, but I'm not 100% sure...

Pretty sure that was only compatible with the older RD3 radios. Best suggestion is to make an mp3 CD for the car instead or use the AUX socket for a iPod or something similar.

But I agree, prob best to make use of the MP3 function or use Aux-In.
Plus, don't think the lead that comes with that CD changer will be long enough to reach anywhere that the unit will fit!!
