  • iPod and steering wheel controls

    Hi all,
Hopefully picking up the DS3 today and was reading through some
of the threads relating to iPods.

I currently have a fiesta and the iPod is very easy to use, it fits using the
apple connector and I then play songs on a random basis. I can select
Playlists but I just prefer to leave it on permanent shuffle and
skip through the 2,000 odd songs that is on my iPod using
    Steering wheel buttons.

Can I still do the same on the ds3? I'm confused as to how many songs
Will be recognised. Does the 999 limit apply to iPods or just USB
Sticks? Will it play on shuffle or folders only?

Also, does the steering wheel control stick allow me to skip
Tracks back and forward? Sorry for what might be daft questions!

If you are using the USB socket then you will have some control over the iPod, the 999 rule only applies to USB sticks. You should also be able to randomise the tracks that play with a quick press of 'OK' on the stereo and selecting 'Random Play'.

      Hi,

I must be being completely thick - I can't seem to activate the random control. I've gone into the menu and selected the random play but it is only playing in artist/aplhabetcial order.

Any ideas please? Its drove me nuts....

p.s - love the car, picked it up last night!!
