  • subwoofer fuse?

    hi
I have been pulling 12v from the subwoofer connector to power a dash cam, but last night it went off, and now the 12v is dead.
is there a Fuse for this? if so where is it?

I think it's behind the flap in the glove box (P219 of the owner manual) and is Fuse FH38 and should be a 20amp fuse for the Hifi Amplifier

Wouldn't have happened to get that info from the manual by any chance?

I looked there first, and its fine.
Any other suggestions why the socket is now apparently dead?

Do you have a multimeter you could use to test the connections?

Check whatever you used to tap into the sub power.

I checked with my multimeter, and nothing.

              And everything else seems fine.

Might be worth a shot disconnecting the battery for a minute or so and reconnecting it then testing again. Perhaps the ECU has detected too much of a voltage draw from the port and it's disabled it?

Failing that, get the original fuse back in, the camera out and take it to a dealership to see what they suggest.

If I disconnect the battery will it affect anything? Like lose radio code etc?

Nope the radios are coded to the ECU so you don't need to put in a code when you disconnect the battery

The only thing you'll need to do is reset the date & time.

Ok, ill look tomorrow now the lights gone.
There are lots of wires on the battery, can someone please clarify which wire I need to disconnect? Just so I dont do the wrong one.
                        Cheers

There's only one that you should be able to remove and that's the positive red cable.

Lift the lever to release and slide the connecter off the terminal.

To reconnect it, you'll need to lift the small lever under the connector before attaching it back to the terminal.

Let me know if you get stuck and I'll take some pictures tomorrow.

                            Hi Guys,

My sub is not working for some reason, its all plugged in, so I'm thinking to check the fuse first.

Can anyone tell me where I can find FH38? is this one of the 15 fuses?

                            Thanks
