  • Aftermarket sub suggestions

Replaced all four speakers today with 17cm two way sony GT1728F speakers. I'm after a sub next and was offered a deal on a fusion powered enclosure subwoofer! It's advertised at 900 watts but only makes 150 rms which I believe is a better guideline figure. What have other people done!?

I tested the fitment of the fusion EN-AB1100 and it's pretty solid unit that comes with everything needed and can be taken out when the boot is needed just I've never heard anything decent about fusion products.

    Any insight welcome?

    Don't get Fusion.

For a decent brand at a good price look at the following: Alpine, MTX, JBL, Hertz, JL Audio & Pioneer.

Buy a >JL slot ported bass wedge sub< I got the single 12" and 250/1 jl amp and it had by far the cleanest bass I have heard twice as bassy as my old twin fusion sub.

I've had mine in two days now and my god they are amazing for the money! They really pump out the sound! One of the best purchases I've made so far on the car

Put off wiring it until the weekend as I have a headunit and door speakers to put in from my previous DS3 so an all day job no doubt.

Im sorry about my ignorance, but the headunit is the actual radio of the car ? The part that you put in the cd and has the buttons to scroll the menu ? If you replaced it, how can you acces the menu, turn the dash backlights off.... ?

I kept my radio and used a line output converter like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vibe-Delta...item1c3beb1bd3 . Just wired it into the back of my radio which gave me the rca outputs to sub. using this obviously allowed me keep my factory headunit and all the controls etc.
