RD45 to RNEG

Hi would anyone know if it's possible to change the head unit from an RD45 to the one used with the eMyWay system RNEG in the picture, I know the head unit comes with the sat nav system but I don't need that I just want to swap the head units
and keep the input1 and bluetooth functions ?

Is this for the look of the RNEG head unit ?

It's more to do with functionality because after nearly a year and no help from CUK with having the caller display resolved I have found out that the bluetooth part of the RNEG unit is compatible for caller display with the iPhone 5S and yes it does look better

I'm waiting for a phone call from the dealership so I can speak the service manager and ask the same question and also the DS3's up to about mid 2012 don't seam to have the caller display issue and weather or not they could swap the head unit from an older model DS3 with the older software on it and see if that helps.

Bought my car in June 2012, no issue with caller display on my iPhone 5. That's good info to know about the satnav version working ok, I was considering getting eMyWay when I get a new DS3 anyway.

Just to clarify I'm not sure if the RNEG unit can be swapped but I know it's bluetooth is compatible with the iPhones so hopefully if possible I could go to the dealer and try the 2 different head units and see if that helps that hoping that they have the head units there to swap around with

Seems like a lot of faffing about just for Caller Display...

What you are forgetting is that you will be unable to tell who is calling away, all the data that the RNEG unit transmits is designed for display on the 7" screen and not the dot matix display that is in your current car.

So changing the radio unit serves no purpose I'm afraid.

I know what you mean but I just think it's a function that should be working as advertised and if I can ask citroen to try different solutions then it's with the hassle
