  • When will the eMyWay be touchscreen?

Its the one feature my DS3 is missing. My friend has just bought a Skoda with 7" touchscreen. It had album cover art and a play position slider. Just generally better haha.
With Peugeot 308 and Renault Clio having touchscreen, I'd like to see Citroen follow suit.

For which? Touchscreen or Apple CarPlay? Enquiring minds must know!

Wouldn't the Apple CarPlay be Touchscreen anyway?

No expect the silly touchscreen stuff to be fitted to the facelift when it arrives, here's hoping that it not a straight copy of the Peugeot system as that it complete rubbish...

Also hoping that someone solves the screen glare issue as well.

I hope so, but on the website it states: "It also works with your car’s controls — knobs, buttons, or touchscreen." So while it could work on a touchscreen, it's down to the manufacturer to incorporate it.

No mention of Peugeot-Citroen for either Apple or Android integration. It bet they'll come up with their own proprietary system.

If you scroll to the bottom of the page I linked to, you'll see "PSA PEUGEOT CITROËN" listed as one of the "committed partners".

Amazes me why the car manufacturers don't support BYOD.

                    ^

If you mean what I think you do then there would be far too many complications involved with warranty submission.

am i the only one that touchscreens in cars are a dumb idea. lets replace fixed buttons you can use with no thought or without taking your eyes of the road with something you need to look at

Love the touch screen nav in my VW so much easier to use than the Citroen one.

With you on this one, at present the technology does not respond fast enough which mean you spend more time with eyes off the road. The system in the C4 Picasso can take a moment to load between screens meaning you sit watching it rather then the road. No wonder more cars are coming with collision alerts! Granted as the tech moves on this problem with disappear.

Plus not everyone wants to use a bloody iDevice. I'll stick with my Brodit mounts and Windows Phone / Android.

Now if car manufacturers came up with a device from their end and said to phone makers heer are our specs if you want to luink in here are API's etc. Win all round!

So no touchscreen in the "facelift" ds3.
I'm itching for the ds3 mkII though. There really isn't anything on the market that would temp me away from ds3 at the moment
