Ermmmm, I have no idea. Only had this model 2 weeks. At a guess I'd say it was sensor related for the alarm? Turn them off if you leave children or dogs to perish in your car the alarm can sensor can be stopped?

Nooooo! Never happened. There actually isn't much there! Just one key, club lanyard, 2 keyrings, moustache bottle opener and a lego turtle. All very necessary

It does exactly what WTF said, you press that button and a red light comes on, you can then get out of the car and leave your windows down a little for cooling and the interior sensors are de-activated. Therefore no false alarms !
