Coolant temperature sensor

Hi, does anyone know where the coolant temperature sensor is located on the 1.6 diesel engine.
I think mine is faulty as the gauge goes straight to hot even when the car has not been used.
It then goes to normal operation after a few minutes of driving.

It's not just a sensor if I remember correctly

Itand a housing unit which can be tricky to change
