  • Suspension top mounts

    Hi everybody
I hope someone can help me. I have a 2010 ds3 1.6 hdi that when turning round corners or sharp bends the front wheels skip quite badly.
i have tried everything and I am now wondering if the suspension top mounts are in the right way round as there is no locating pin on the ds3.
what I would like to know is does the raised rubber lip on the top of the mount under the top nut and washer face towards the engine or to the outer wing.
or will it only sit the right way around.
thanks for any help in advance it will be much appreciated .

Have a look in this thread, there's a picture showing it... I think it's what you mean anyway...

Glad my thread is of some help.

I get this scrubbing effect on mine to at the moment.

I'm not sure if it was doing it before I corrected the misalignment of the top mounts . I've noticed the DS3 has a very tight turning circle so put in down to the amount the wheels are turned and the fact my tracking is now out because of the adjustment on the top mounts.

Check alignment and tire pressures. Also happens when tyres are almost gone... Cold weather does make them skid more also.
Turning circle on the ds3 is tight. I almost never use full lock.
