I'm a driving instructor, I'm on my second ds3 which I love.. Recently I had a gear box problem (crunching when selecting 3rd gear). I called citreon assistance who sent someone out with in 1hr..the engineer said couldn't fix at road side and took my car to nearest citreon dealer..Arnold Clark, they took one look at my car
And seen the duel controls and immediate blamed the controls and refused to fix under warranty. I informed them that I bought the car from Parks East Kilbride with controls already fitted.. And anyway if it was the controls it would be a 1st gear problem, not 3rd..still they refused to do anything unless I paid £300 strip down cost. I arranged for the engineer who fitted the controls to go in and assess, he confirmed the controls were in no way responsible..they still refused to repair my car unless I paid. I then had parks pick the car up take to their workshop and repair under warranty, they replace a gear , synchro and hub..this 2 day job now took 8 days costing me £1000 in lost earnings. This was the only thing I could do as I now didn't trust Arnold Clark to diagnose the problem truthfully once they had me on the hook for costs..I called citreon customer services to complain and Parks backed my complaint. Arnold Clark then lied and claimed this did not happen, as they flat out denied citreon said their hands are tied and couldn't proceed any further with my complaint. Due the good service at Parks I went back and bought a ds3 pink/black special edition for my wife. Arnold Clarks loss!!
