  • Euan's Build Thread

So I'm petty new to the whole car "build" idea but I've had a good think and thought of a few ideas on things I want to do when I save enough. I'll probably start with the cheaper things first and move on to the bigger things. Sooo:

Performance wise I'm not too sure what I can really do to improve my performance as I have an e-hdi 90. But definitely thinking of getting a remap done next year (I'll probably go see Jamie) when my warranty is done. Might get a new exhaust system. I'll possibly buy some lowering springs too.

Exterior: Quite a few things I want to do when it comes to the looks of my DS3. I'll probably de-badge the "Citroen" lettering off the boot and maybe the front (haven't decided yet). May also think about having my DRL's on with sidelights but not too sure yet? May also have a white stripe down the doors (similar to the Racing Cabrio but not too sure yet). Definitely want the Dsport spoiler, black FlyEyes kit for headlights and fog lights, chrome mirror caps, chrome light inserts, mud guards, chrome strip for the boot, new aerial and deep dish alloys as love the deep dish look {may space them out a little too), also love the look of the front splitters some of you guys have on from Triple R Composites. Deciding whether to paint my calipers white or red - depending on how much of a faff it is.

Interior: I'm thinking of buying new moodlighting bulbs - not sure of the colour yet and this will be subject to how much of a faff it is. Also want to wrap my dashboard and centre console in red with a white stripe (similar to the Racing Cabrio's dash). Also may wrap the chrome around the steering wheel and gear stick in white to go with the roof. Finally I want to upgrade my sound system - but not sure whether to go to citroen and get the HiFi upgrade (if I can do that) or just buy new speakers myself with an amp and sub.

This is all I've thought of for now but no doubt I'll be adding and removing a few thing from the list

Sounds like a plan mate. Quite tempted to FlyEye mine as well as it's cheap to do, but still debating whether to remap before or after warranty runs out. Could always do a remap meet at Jamie's I reckon he could do 3 or 4 in a day

So I was looking for some deep dish alloys and fell in love with these work ones. Only issue with them is they are a 5 lug nut fitment, not a 4, which would mean I'd probably have to convert my brakes to a 5 lug nut fitment (Which probably won't be cheap).

However I had a muck around on GIMP and fell in love with how they could potentially look on my DS3

I'd be surprised, the eHDi's still require the ecu to be removed and remapped at Jamie's workstation I think, might get 2 in a day done at a push I'd have thought...

Give Zack a shout and see where he had his 5 lug wheels converted to 4 lug (which also will not be cheap!)

money wise best to keep looking for something that will fit. There has to be something out there for you don't give up.

                            Mine's a 90 and it destroys THP's - Even when they're running ok ! hahahaha
