  • Benjis big turbo 207

Hi guys, I'm Ben I live in kent, I thought I would do a short build thread on here without going to far back to where it all started.
I own a 207 gti I bought it new back in 2008 and have put lots of time and effort into making it what it is today. A closer to finished but still long way off project lol.
    Engine spec is
    Cp pistons low comp, 9.5:1
Scat Conrods, for honda b18c that I had machined to fit and with a smaller gudgeon pin. Brings compression down to 8.7:1 ish
Acl bearings, big ends & main crank bearings modified to fit.
Twin under piston oil squirters (instead of 1)
Colourless valve springs for high boost application (helps prevent valve bounce)
    A/c delete.
    Machined manifold.
    Port matched cylinder head.
    Adapter plate for manifold.
2.75inch free flow decat exhaust 1 off mongoose system.
    2.75inch down pipe (no cat)
Braided oil feed line, to turbo.
Modified water feed and return turbo lines
Oil return from a 1.6hdi modified.
Td05 20g turbo. Forge actuator with blue spring set at 1.38 bar
    S3 bov and adaptor.
    Forge boost pipes
    Massive front mount intercooler.
    Aem v2 water meth system
    Quaife diff
    Long 5th gear set.
All software by stelios @ etuners
There's probably more to list here than I can remember but it's an idea of the extent of my build.

    Handling and braking
Forge motorsport 6pot calipers and 330mm discs with pagid rs29 pads
    Rear strutbrace, made by me
Omp upper front brace (doesn't fit now tho turbo)
Omp lower x-brace (must have item!!)
Coilovers alround, but looking into bc ATM
Also looking into making a large rear brake conversion
    Braided lines allround.
    28mm hub centric spacers.

    Interior.
    Scooby front seats,
    Takata harnesses
    No rear seats
Custom dash pod (made by me)
Aem wideband, tru boost (low, high and scramble) and water meth flow guages.
    Omp deepdish steering wheel.
Battery in boot in oem box.

    Exterior.
I have done lots over the years but currently iv gone as oem as possible, but with smoothed de-badged front bumper.
    Bumper corner splitters
    Skirts.
    Gti pitlane alloys.

There will undoubtedly be lots missed of but hey ho!

The pics are in random order and the first ones more recent!

I am yet to dyno the car again, but it should be in the region of 330-340 low boost and high will be more
The car is shockingly fast, it is extremely drivable and not very laggy, it is agressive but the chassis is so good and makes it easy and fun to drive! I am very surprised just how drivable the car is and It's had blood sweat and tears to get it where it is now and I wouldn't change it for the world!

If I remember it was standard manifold with an adapter plate.
