  • Ds3 red mods, very much a work in process

So decided to spray my front bumper and grille today from red to black as most people have done however not to keen on the result think I may experiment with keeping the red on there with black surrounding it, I think having a red roof makes it look a little odd

Not sure if the pics attached ok

If you use Tapatalk (forum App) you can just add direct from your phone

I was going do the red/black on mine. But it didn't look right with the full black bottom lip and the red from the lower grill cutting through it.

Another idea I had for mine was the leave inside the top Chevron grill red. Hard to explain, but can be seen in blue on the Electrum. Might be a right pain with Plastidip/spray. But wrapping might work

Just a way to tie in some red from the front

Was that Electrum a concept car only? Never heard of it before.

The best way to upload images from online is copy the image address and paste it here in img tags ([img.], [/img.] without the full stops)

Yea the black looks really odd with the DS3 red will be removing it and seeing if I can tie the black in somewhere else might black out the baguettes see how it looks

The electric looks nice like you said tho looks to be a real pain to spray that area

Sorry for the dark I'm at work but I've done it! Looks ace like that, question is which do you prefer

Black sprayed lower bumper or the stock white OEM paint?

                        Attempt #2

                        - finished it now, looks good but there's a drip mark which needs buffing/sanding out but otherwise good finish much better than the first attempt but no matter how good I mask I still get overspray on the white paint between the grille and main bodywork....

So you decided to go back to the standard red or redid it black as per the previous pic?

Peeled it off and re-did it as it was all peeling off as I'd messed it up, looks good now I'll take pics tomorrow and post
