Changes to the DS3

So after getting my DS3 stolen and not having it for a month

Its back looking all good again and after its first service (16k in three and half months) so its time to start with the mods

Plans in no order as follows

Remap -
Exhaust - Custom from Pro Speed
Audio upgrade - Pioneer DA100 app radio (where nav screen would have been) relocate the standard display to lower centre console
Speaker upgrade - Focal set up
complete sound damping
HID's
Heated Leather seats

So after pulling the dash apart and taking measurements its not possible to install an aftermarket double din head unit
where the factory sat nav display should be this is due to the main reinforcement for the dashboard.

So have ordered a pioneer 6300 flip out screen single din unit along with the add on navigation unit to replace standard unit
Will keep you all updated with pictures and such like

Pioneer AVH P6300
Pioneer Avic F220 add on navigation
Connects 2 AutoDab
Connects 2 steering wheel controls

Lots of kit !

I was told that the stock radio acted like a brain for things in the car. What will it affect if i can a new radio?

If you don't use a steering wheel control interface you will loose the ability to change any vehicle setting, time date etc.

I was going to ask if you still have the functions for the car the old console had for example- bluetooth options, car personalisation options, trip computer etc? Maybe Pioneer has some sort of interface for it?

If you buy the correct connect2 adapter you can still access your time, date, etc through the volume stalk.

TBH I didn't even know you could access those through the stalk! As long as all the car management functions work then great job!
