Just been checking out hotels for this, which being a Saturday night in the middle of July is not that cheap but I have found these two:

Premier Inn 30 miles straight on the motorway to Silverstone. £39



Travelodge around 15 miles away on A roads £46



Premier Inn looks the better option to me, also has a Brewers Faye, Chinese and fish & chips on site.

Close enough to Oxford for us to not need a hotel either. I guess most people can just meet at Tesco Towcester again for the convoy in to the show.
