Gymkhana GRiD is Ken Block’s own style of Gymkhana autocross – a form of motorsport where drivers must negotiate a high-speed precision driving course with a pre-determined sequence of drifts, figure 8s, donuts and slaloms.
Gymkhana requires not only physical driving skills, but also mental training, as drivers must memorize the course and sequences with an aim of setting the quickest time.
2014 Finals
The epic Gymkhana Grid series has rampaged its way through Europe and all comes to a climax here at Santa Pod Raceway. We’ll have two days of hard-core drifting action from some of the top names in the business. The king of Gymkhana, Ken Block will be here performing some awesome drift demos on both Saturday and Sunday.
Sunday will be the eliminations and finals day so you can expect to see more of Ken Block
There's an immense amount of tyre shredding, burning rubber and drifting lined up for the day. And the lineup of athletes is looking bigger ever. Head Hoonigan in Charge Ken Block will be rolling into town in his infamous Ford Mustang 'Hoonicorn' RTR. He will be joined by Liam Doran, Andre Villa, Nicolas Hamilton, Steve 'Baggsy' Biagioni, Shane Lynch (you know, that guy that was in Boyzone, now had an epic beard and now is a professional drift car driver) , Buttsy Butler, Fail Crew, Team Japspeed and Dmtriy Illyuk. Of course GRiD hero Luke Woodham will also be back in action taking on all challenges to his championship crown.
