Essex Meet

Hi, i know we have a few Essex people and a few londoner's.

Was thinking of doing a little meet sometime soon around Essex down to Southend. Be good to get some pics by the lights etc.

Date wise im thinking a Saturday. 26th November or 3rd December, not too far away and no too near christmas.

My plan is to meet at the white hart pub in margaretting

We can have a meal there. Im thinking it would be nice to meet and go for a drive before the sun goes down so likely it will be around lunch time.

Reason ive picked this location as it has a nice car park, nice food and location, but also a nice back roads drive towards southend. We even use the road the passes very close to the hanningfield reservoir which might make a nice picture location. We continue along back roads until we meet the A127, the inevitable nightmare of a road that takes us into southend. Park up, get some photos by the lights and perhaps go for a drink in one of the many pubs (or some mini doughnuts lol).

Any other suggestions welcome and if those dates are inconvenient we can see what else we can arrange.

As someone who works hard at arranging club meets I do find threads like this annoying. People can attend any meets they like but it would be nice if people were honest in the first place. This stunt was tried before for another .eu meet.

apologies Adi, i really dont mean anything by this. I am a member of both groups and hold no preference (have both sticker's on car). As im new to organising meets i decided to go with the smaller group first, but due to low attendance i thought id give it a shot here.

I merely said what i said above as i want to keep the peace obviously.

reckon we can start on the right foot again? id love for this event to take place. I see lots of us around in Essex and London. Be great to meet up and go for a decent drive/photo shoot.

By all means arrange a meet as anyone can do it and the more meets the merrier. What we don't like is people saying it's one club but in fact it's another. Last time this happened I was banned from the other club for bringing it to the attention of people.

Honesty is always the best policy.

The car should be enjoyed by all.

Meets should be organised all over the country so everyone has a chance to attend. If you look at the ones I have organised or in the the process of organising Donington, WRC Wales, Nurburgring, France, National. None of them are within 100 miles of me. Only a quick get together was down the road. Some clubs won't go further than 50 miles or north of Watford.

So please organise one, just make sure the dates are different to others that may be on at the time

Thanks. See what I did wrong there. Yeh this one is local but it's not an uber special one like yours, it's a bit late in the year and a bit cold for anything else lol. I'm thinking 3rd December now as time is getting on. Can't see anything else that's on at that time.
