Same advice I always give:

First you must pick a date (making sure there are no clashes if you want people to attend)
You must pick a destination

Failure to do any of the above results in a loooong thread that goes nowhere and the meet never happens.

Finally give it chance but you can always cancel.

Krispy Kreme at Trafford Centre is always packed on weekends with car/bike clubs.
We had our last one there but only about 6/7 people showed
