I am going to this event organised by the Northern Section of he CCC. Anyone else interested in joining in?
The Northern Section is hosting what we hope will be a day out to remember. We invite all members to come and join us on Sunday, 21st April. We’ll be driving through some of the most picturesque yet remote dales of the western and central North York Moors: Bransdale, Farndale, Rosedale and Newton Dale. We’ve included a couple of fords, a gated road and one with grass up the middle!
You will be given detailed instructions at the beginning of the route.
Meet at 10.00am for a 10.15 start at Sutton Bank which is 6 miles east of Thirsk on the A170. We are permitted to park for free for a short time in a small area just in front of Sutton Bank National Park Centre, postcode for satnavvers YO7 2EH.
Lunch stop will be at 12.30pm at The George and Dragon in Kirkbymoorside. ‘The Best Town Pub in Yorkshire’, postcodeYO62 6AA. There is a carvery for £9.25 or simpler meals or baguettes at £5.50 if you prefer. We’re booked in the restaurant or you might prefer to sit in front of the fire and enjoy hand pulled real ales.
We aim to finish with Afternoon Tea around 3.30 in Pickering centre for tea. A small Pay and Display fee applies.
