Hi guys,

I'm going to be carrying out some work on the server this week to work on moving us over to a much faster solution with a lot more room for growth.

Because of this you may encounter a few errors when attempting to browse to certain parts of the website intermittently.

I'll try my best to get the majority of the work done at anti-social hours.

If by chance you're looking for a DS3 Fix whilst I'm carrying out this work, don't forget you can still find us on Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, etc...

Majority of it's already done.

Just setting up a full test environment now on the new server to iron out any niggles before the night of the big move :watermelon:

Just to bring you all up to speed we now have a full test environment configured on our new servers. We're currently working out a few niggles but should hopefully be completing the migration at some point next weekend.

You'll notice a few changes around the site such as the shop button at the top, tapatalk has been updated, facebook has now been partially integrated to the site, etc..

If anybody has anything else they'd like to see on the site then please let me know!

Read only before migration definitely then make it writeable once migrated. Otherwise you'll get issues with the SQL integrity.

Are you using the WHM utils on the new server to migrate the site over? Who are you hosting with? I use ServInt myself very good guys with decent VPS pricing.

OVH box at the moment, just moved from easyhostuk..

Decided to repoint the SQL connection string so there was only around 5 minutes of data loss.

All done now and DNS repointed

I agree about the ease of the technicalty but I'd be concerned about backing the lot up and DR and bandwidth. I assume it's not hosted from a regular house?

Most people will pay a hosting company to do the physical hosting part.
