Avatars and how to add them, ..... or not ?

Just joined this most munificent site, and thought that I would use a pic of my DS3 as an avatar.

Silly me !

The button which is there to enable the addition of an avatar remains stubbornly stuck at "Do Not Allow an Avatar" !

Any suggestions, as to what is going wrong, or more likely what I am doing wrong,............. or is there some sort of time delay period related to how long one has been a member before one can upload an avatar ?

Hi Monty,

Welcome to the club.

There is currently a filter in place that means you won't be able to upload an avatar until you have more than 10posts.

As you're obviously not as spammer I'll move you into the "registered users" group. This'll only take me a few minutes so give it a try after you've read this post

Edit: Just uploaded a test avatar for you that seems to be loading fine. Drop me a PM if you have any further issues.

Nice, the stripe across the roof really sets it off, looks good

Ed-pics can only be so big, 800 x 800 I think is the max u can upload but I could be totally wrong lol

I used that in the beginning when I wanted to add pics I had on Flickr

Unfortunately we had to implement some new features to prevent the amount of spam we've been having recently; sorry for the troubles it caused you :P

There isn't any sort of restriction on your account denying access to this.

Have you checked your avatar is a supported file type and is within the size restrictions?

What error do you see when trying to upload an avatar?
