Picked up Farcry 1,2,3 3-Blood Dragon for £7.50 on Steam the other week. Still trying to finish 2. 3 doesn't want to run on my system. Just hangs in the loading screen. Ive out the hard way that a few games I payed for and downloaded, that run the Uplay, seem to all hang on loading screens ):

A few people on the Steam forums reported this fixed their issue:

"- I uninstalled Uplay entirely. ***It leaves files behind! Go to your \program files (x86)\ folder and delete the Ubisoft folder there completely. This was necessary for me to do***
            - I restarted my computer (had to do this too, no restart after removal/installation did nothing for me before)
            - I re-installed Uplay using the installer found on Uplay's website.
            - After installation, I restarted again.
            - I launched the game through Steam and after about a minute, Uplay finally came up without crashing and updated itself.
            - Exit Uplay.
            - Re-launch the game through Steam again, and now you can input your key to activate it."

Farcry 2 is mega buggy as hell and some really frustrating gameplay elements but sooooo enjoyable.

A word of advice, I bought BF3 Premium for my daughter yesterday, a bargain at less than £8 considering it contains all the add ons. Unfortunately it doesn't contain the base game which needs to be purchased separately £4. Save yourself a little embarrassment when spending hours trying to work out why the game isn't featuring in your game folder ha ha ha

It worked. Any idea why we needed to do that Liam?

Probably just a corrupt/incomplete file left over by the installer that was preventing it from loading.

Might have been from a legacy installer.
