Built a new HTPC whilst in France avoiding Tax, AMD FM1 based rig with the OS running off an SSD and a 2TB main drive, Watercooled obviously as I cant be doing with aircooling girlyness, linked up to one of my screen and a 32" Toshiba TV in he mancave, its a decent little rig but if I need to encode films or music then it gets crushed by my 5Ghz beast.

I've never gone that big xD

I just recently upgraded to an OCed i5, my q6600 was water cooled by h60 I think it was called, but now I'm air cooled up.

Need a new Gfx card though, lacking behind with my gtx 260 but so far I have nothing I can't play that I want to.

Plus my case(antec 900) doesn't allow much cable management but I've done the best I can with it.

A 260 GTX wont cut it with any modern game due to a lack of oomph and video RAM, for the likes of BF4 at a decent resolution (1920x1080) you are looking NV 670GTX 760gtx and above, certainly if you want to play games like Crysis 3.
This is my main Rig, i7 Sandy Bridge running at 5Ghz, 16GB RAM and an NV 780GTX clocked to the voltage limit. OS and games run from a 500GB SSD with a 2TB drive for non essential files. Visuals via a 24" Asus Pro Art IPS monitor running at 1920x1200 and a 22" ASUS IPS running at 1920x1080.


My lads rig is a custom built system, again both CPU and graphics are watercooled (No Pics with me), again an i7 but only at 4.5ghz, 8GB RAM and an Nvidia 580GTX maxed out 24" IPS screen at 1920x1200. Daughters Rig is a very cool little number I did her with plenty of pink,watercooled AMD FM2 CPU with 8GB RAM and an aircooled NVidia 560Ti connected to a 22" Asus IPS screen at 1920x1080. Im just about to re-house my lads rig, il post pics when that's done.

Some games are a couple of years in development, they cant design, code and produce a game for a consul that doesn't exist at the time. Im sure they will produce a PS4 version at some point, and peeps will splash out £60 for the game.

I don't think we'll be paying that for the next gen games, I know that is the RRP of them but I suspect as always they'll be cheaper online Can't wait for GTA V

Look on Amazon for the PS4 titles, nudging £50 so on the highstreet expect nearer £60.

£30 for BF4 on PC does me just fine, using next gen hardware rather than 2 generation old AMD stuff in the PS4 and XB1

I play a fair few RTS like Rome and Napoleon TW as well as flight sims so consoles are no good to me, they don't have the hardware to run either genre but driving games and FIFA are good on consol.

more people have a ps3 or 360 and for me at least atm Theres no reason to bug a next gen console apart from forza 5 i cant see a single game worth having this lacklustre lineup may be the end of my console gaming days and the cost of games tales the mickey imo

There has been a significant dip in console game sales recently, phone and tablet games have really taken off at the consoles expense. The PC will always be the hardware of choice for certain genre's of game that the consul just cant do, look at footage of ARMA 3 for instance, stunning.
