You should but it's a lot of money on a £349 console Approx £50 less than the console itself

Imagine driving an un-mapped THP for a month, well that's like using a PC with a HDD after having an SSD.

I play BF4 online and the wife periodically enters the mancave to top up my Pinot. Win win win.

Don't ssd have read/write limits though? So the constant install and removal of games should burn it out quicker?

I'd buy the xbox 1 if I actually used my 360 for anything other than netflix/DVD player....

I just CBA with games, and I have a pretty powerful Facebook machine upstairs.

Yes an SSD will have limits to the number of times a part of the memory can be written too, however technology has overcome issues suffered by early drives. Even so modern drives even if used for several hours everyday will last over 10 years, they are also 'over provisioned' which means if any parts of the memory 'die' they simply use a bit held as a spare. The only time an SSD will struggle is if its used as a server and constantly written to 24/7 and even then its will outlast its own technology. I have had an SSD in this current machine for 2 years and its rarely gets turned off and it still has 100% integrity of all memory addresses.

Can you post the specs of your FB machine please.

260gtx was a great card in its day, certainly the 216 core version, i5 was also mega, the 2500k certainly still holds its own in games. Ive stuck with my i7 2700k as nothing can touch it ingame (its clocked at 5ghz) I game at 2560 x 1440 on a 27" Iiyama XB2779QS-B1 so my 780GTX gets a good workout.

Due to spending 10 weeks of every 15 overseas I don't use my main rig very much, however when im home I do a fair bit of music and video editing which a 5GHZ C{U and 16GB of 2133mhz ram helps with. As far as games then BF4 is good (not played COD since World at War), the Total War series (mainly a modded version of Napoleon Total War) and then flight sims. I have builf decent rigs for my two kids so when they are home we have some pretty decent 1v1v1 on COD or BF, my daughters rig has a 560Ti and my lads a watercooled 580gtx, both have watercooled quad core CPUs. Ive got a fourth rig but it runs as a HTPC so just uses an AMD APU.

I run an Asus 24" 1920x1200 Pro Art as a second monitor.
