How cool were these back in the day?

They were fun cars. A mate of mine had one, but the engines were pretty weak. He got through 2 engines on his, but drove it like he stole it.
I always fancied one of these:


BX 16v GTi, 160bhp 0-60 7.4 seconds.

That it is, but also notable for being the first 16v car PSA released, and it was also quicker than a 205 1.9GTi.

I still also love the old CX, which people are still modding. One handy feature of the CX, was that if you left the suspension in the lowest position, you could not get clamped.
