also need to figure out a way to piggy back Internet off the ps4 as I'm not near a router.

Powerline adaptors, you can get them with WiFi too, if the TV doesn't have an Ethernet port.

Yeah it does have a port. But it's about 10m on different floor to my router. Don't know if I can piggy back off ps4. Surely I can? Or yes. Powering adapter to run ethernet from.

I meant something like this, I have them and they work great. Plug one in by the router, the other in next to the TV, connect with ethernet cables and all good. You can get cheaper ones if you don't want/need gigabit.

Yeah cheaper one will be fine, something like this.

The speed you get on the other end depends on the distance as well as the adaptor. Example: we get 110MB into the house, but usually tops out around 60MB in the room.

As long as you get 5-10MB+ Netflix & online games will run fine.

How are you finding the TV?

My sister's just got an Amazon Fire stick, but has no HDMI ports, so I'm now even more tempted to upgrade my TV and then I can sell my current one to her...

It's good! But I have figured out that where I thought it was a smart TV. It is actually not. It's had an Internet port in the back. But no features for using apps etc. So effectively. It's a normal TV. But pictures good. The sound is a little low. Have to turn it up to 60 for a decent sound. But this may be down to 18 years of drumming on my part.
Personally looking back I would have made sure it was a smart TV. But I have the ps4 plugged in so can access everything I want.
