Alternate fuel to diesel..?

Bit of an odd question which I suspect I know the answer to;
Has anyone tried running a Diesel engine on purely a mix of oils and nitro-methonal fuel? I.e no diesel in the tank.

Not that I've seen on here, I remember the bio diesel discussion a few years back, I think some manufacturers (VAG possibly) were more welcoming of it than others, I had an Astra diesel at the time and Vauxhall weren't supportive....

Not sure about Citroen to be honest...

Big no no!

Citroen published an Ops Bulletin about cars running bio fuel such as vegetable oil advising us that the warranty would be completely void if traces where found.

I wasn't at all suggesting that anyone try this in there DS3! hence I posted in the "general" section.
I am curious though, as I use this fuel in small single cylinder 2 stroke engines which works on compression like a diesel engine...
Not sure what compression ratio the fuel needs for best burn and whether you could swap from diesel to nitro-meth? Might be worth buying an old diesel to find out! heh heh heh...

I Believe Vag's run fine on it, wouldn't want to try it in my HDi though...

Well technically the HDi engine was designed to run with a 85% mix bio-diesel. Problem was that people would start shoving all sorts down the tank...
