Well I was all geared up for flying to Dubai tomorrow afternoon and then onto the UK early doors the next morning. With all the shenanigans of the Afghan elections, our current contract has been wrapped up slightly early and a future tasking is currently on hold (until we know who will be running the country).
So I've made my way back from the South over the past few days and now sit in our compound in Eastern Kabul, the Countrywide Manager was there to shake my hand and say well done in that ex-British Army way, he then asked if id like a pay rise and to stay on for a little longer on another project.
What could I say except yes, I've never been one for chasing the Dollar but I certain chase opportunities, hopefully this will lead to something interesting in the future.
