Anyone here see the first Formula E race today?
    Anyone interested in it?

Today's race (saw it by chance actully) was surprisingly interesting.
Rules allow 2 cars per driver (as they don't last a full 20 mins of race each?!). Each driver has to switch car taking over a minimum time to ensure they safely switch over.

Very slow compared to F1, obviously... Not much sound other than the whinning motors and crashes.

    **Spoiler**
Last lap, Last corner. If you saw it, WTF?! If you didn't, WTF?!.
Looked 100% intentional. Mid straight side swipe destroyed the potential winner of the first ever race. Glad to see no real injury; but in my view the other driver should be banned from Motorsport, or at the very least suspended!
A Must See last corner crash!

was great race i dont like the idea that they change car when low on power should be a battery swap. as the winner didnt win as he wasnt in the car he started with and i think heidfeld should av punched prost's lights out lol i made my viewing of it funnier as i was clanging milk bottles together everytime they hit the bumps on the corners

Yes i watched it. Still an f1 fan, i missed the engine sounds didn't like the electric whine. It did seem strange that you can win the race in a different car to what you started in.

Have to say it was a lot better than I expected, and the final corner, wow, just wow!

The cars do sound odd, a cross between the old F1 engines and a radio controlled car. The car changes thing makes sense, but the 50 second minimum time for pit stops ruins the racing.

As for the final corner, it was all Prost's fault. He's very quickly painting himself to be the Nico Rosberg of Formula E by not taking the blame. Expect boos for him next time around.

The gap now until the next race is ridiculous and all the tracks are street style circuits, that could be the deal breaker for me.

If this series fell into a black hole no one would miss it.
