  • Wanna buy a tax disc?

I'm sure there will be some collectors amongst us who are on the lookout for a bargain.

    Look no further:

If you can't afford that, I have a June 2015 disc that I'm prepared to let go for a paltry £500. . .

Psht, I've got an unperforated tax disc in my wallet at the moment.

One of the ones printed in the final few days of September.

        Slightly off topic.
Does anyone know if when you part ex your car,any refund of road tax comes through automatically,or,
do I need to send off my old tax disc to get the refund. My dealer wasn't too sure.

        Thanks Tbart

Automatic. Phoned them a couple of days ago to check, said no need to send the disc. Just inform them you no longer have the car

When you part exchange make sure that you have filled in the yellow slip on your V5C document and post it after the dealer has filled in his bit, this puts the car 'into trade' and removes you as the legal keeper and will action the tax refund. Most dealers will want to do this themselves though (me included) as too many of you customers forget and then winge back at the dealer when you get a tax reminder!
