  • Bugger dropped my phone

Put new glass screen protectors on my phone 3 days ago. Dropped it on the way to work and shattered the front protector. Don't know wether to be pleased that I put the protectors on and my phones ok or pissed off that I spent money on the protectors and only got 3 days out of them before I've had to order some more???

I'd rather replace the protector than pay to repair the phone tbh. Be thankful you fitted them when you did!

I know but 6 quid for another protector. If I wasnt such a clumsy sod that would pay for a kebab for my snap later at work.

Ive thought about protectors ever since I cracked the screen by dropping it on gravel, but the amount of times that I've dropped it since & worse - still only the 1 crack.
I think the cracked screen has re-enforced the phones durability - somehow

Only found out a while back that there are several quality levels with mobile screen protectors. The flimsy thin cling film types, and they get more like stick on perspex covers the more up the qualitty level you go

£15 my protector was, and very glad of it too the other day when it fell on the stone kitchen floor. Dreaded picking it up but all was fine. Money my company well spent

Due for an upgrade too- not sure, whats next after an HTC One? Not into iphones anymore, and will probably sell whatever i get so whats best?

I have the Sony Z1 and that good but on the Z3 now, waterproof to, tested mine in the pool on holiday and worked fine! Only annoying thing with my Z1 is how much power it needs to charge, cant charge from the usb on my pc :-(

Depends what you want from a phone really.

Large screen, photos and vids easy, all the text functions, and a phone that will make a noise when someone rings it, which seems the hardest thing for a mobile to do nowadays. (Good connections)

Nexus 6 sounds good, and Z3 too- but need a nice large screen. Gone are the days I want a tiny phone to fit in my chest pocket- need to see the thing now LOL (Waits for the funny pics of Dom Joly phone)

A week after dropping my phone it has finally stopped working with a spiderweb of cracks appearing from the point of impact. £85 quid for bits to try n fix it myself, £190+ to get it professionally fixed. Double bugger!!!

New screen for my phone arrived and successfully fitted. Unfortunately it's left no time to try out the new pressure washer on the car before work so that will have to wait til another day
