    Anybody any good at electronics?

I am trying to make something like this http://photocornucopia.com/1051.html but have not really got any knowledge of what I am looking to buy in the UK. I'd also like to use LED's

Any suggestions of resources or places to get what I need?

The best places for electronic components are RS & Farnell. I've only dealt with either of them when buying stuff for work (a long time ago!), so I'm not sure whether they sell to the public - at the time I was using them RS were trade only

Would have also thought you could get the necessary parts from Maplins. I have a battery powered strip light, but it only seems to work off the mains now. Really need to strip it down and check the battery circuit.

Did you buy it or make it?

Bought it years ago but it's Woolworth's own brand, so don't know if you could get similar today. Certainly plenty bright enough to light paint with, and mine works with either one or both bulbs on.

Bit of searching and I found this:

                http://www.ukhs.tv/Generators_2/Site...ing-Work-Light

Could be worth a punt for £20
