Does anyone have condensation in the 3D rear lights. I am told by citroen it is common
But to me it is a fault with the manufacture of the light if that is the case. I was wondering if they are trying to dismiss the problem so they don't have to replace them under warranty.

It happens if you don't have a good seal. Take them off, dry them out and when you put them back, make sure the seal between the bulb portion is good. There's a foam gasket that needs to sit correctly. Happened to mine after changing bulbs in my previous DS3.

      Cheers for that beefMaster
I will give that a go at the weekend. I suppose using a hairdryer would speed up the drying process.

I imagine so, I was lucky, when I did mine it was a sunny day so I just took them off, left them in the sun then put them back on after checking the seals.

I've not had this issue with my rear lights, if the steps Beefy is suggesting don't work I would definitely go back to the dealer, the 'common problem' line doesn't sound right with this one

I have removed the light. It looks like citreon have a manufacturing fault with the lights. There seems to be a fault with how they are sealed. As water poured out from the top corner when I tipped it upside down to investigate. I have removed one of the bulbs the let the moisture evaporate. Also as a temporary measure I have put a bead of "blu-tac" on the edge I suspect is at fault. I am going to phone citroen customer service and see what they have to say. If no joy. To which is what I expect as all manufacturers try to shy away from things like this. If the bul-tac works I probably will replace it with silicone sealer.

Have you got a pic? I'm pretty sure there's a foam gasket that should keep it sealed.

The foam gasket would be of no use in this case as there is an opening where air can get in. But water did fiscally run out of the casing when I removed the light. It was from the top corner where the DS symbol is.

It has been several weeks now since I removed the light and dried it out. As I said earlier I put "blu-tac " on where I though the seal was faulty. So far (fingers crossed" there has been no more condensation, even with all this rain we have had. Hopefully I have cured the problem.
