I spent best part of 6 years with these incredible machines right up until their final days at RAF Scampton, my most ear splitting memory was watching 20ish of them all taxying past then lining up for take off.

So true...it's hard to get the full effect from a video.

Over the many years I've heard all sorts of military and civilian aircraft and never have I heard anything as distinctive as the Vulcan.
