I've been a few times - annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd I was mostly drunk. We got shouted at by some shop staff because our mega baggy Criminal Damage jeans (yeah, THAT cool) dragged water around the shop, we fed corned beef to a pigeon and the man at the Eiffel Tower thought I was an Australian Lesbian. Oh, and don't push anyone when at the top of the tower and say 'Saved your life' .... they might be afraid of heights....
The Eiffel tower looks good by day and night, but it does look awesome when it's all lit up at night and sparkly
Around the tower:
Trocadero gardens

The Louvre is great - when we went the exhibition was Ancient Egypt.. (I think) but you might be able to catch a glimpse of the Mona Lisa (usually packed with people looking at it and its a lot smaller than you may think)
Watch the traffic around the Arc De Triomphe
The Metro is really nice http://www.parislogue.com/featured-a...-in-paris.html
Its a really easy for anyone to use, unlike tourists who get trapped over here in the London underground.
Notre Dame is a place to visit, there is often a market in the area, so lots of quirky things to look at and buy. You could probably also buy any animal from there, bit odd. It was busy, but very cool

Having a good wander around is often the best way to stumble upon things, little deli's and cafe's down side streets, nice shops
