Then you can compete in local club events as well as your track days.
Thought about it, then thought just have fun. I am rubbish on the track, even missed a gear last time out. Never sure which route to take, shortest possible tbh.
You never know tho :-) Bit old really- thing is you dont have any money when your younger
I'd take it out for a few hard drives on current tyres to get a feel for the car before deciding. Work out what you want from it. If it performs rather average then I'd stick with one set of wheels with the T1-Rs because better tyres won't be worth it. If it's brilliant and you think you can really push it hard then get the extra (lightweight) wheels and R888s to improve it further.

Sounds all good, altho the exisiting tyres look a bit old rubber. Expect if i go to tyre place there will be scratching of heads and "You deffo need 4 new tyres)
Is there a dot date mark on tyres- like an expiry date. Think there is, not sure it counts if tyres are on a car
I have Yokohama on mine, really pleased with them up to now.
Anyone up for Blyton at the end of the month. Could do with some DS3 backup as I'm meeting up with 4 friends all in Clios.
White on red THP
Miltek exhaust with HKS highflow cat, Forge intercooler, hard pipe kit, induction kit, oil catch tank, , VAG BOV, Stage 3 SPT remap 217 BHP
So you have purchased a car which will mainly see track use, first things first, get yourself fit, if not fit already, once a vehicle has been prepared for track use, the weak link is not so much mechanical or electrical failure, it is driver fatigue.
So true, for those of you on my FB list you will see im far from shabby in the 'awesome looking physique' department. So imagine my shock when my shoulders and forearms were hanging out after a 90 minute (twin engine fast as f**k) go-kart race. I was in absolute bits the next day, my back, obliques and abs as well.

If you can buy me a new set of coilovers and give us a hand fitting them before then, I'd be game in the MX.

Clios- good weight to power ratio- loads seem to have Clios
My reason was cheap and 170 BHP same 0-60 as the Petrol DSport... we'll see
Just need to get some stickers on there for added BHP!
For a 15 yr old car it does go some. Supposed to be as quick as a THP. (Or Perfromance DS3 whatever its called now)
2.0ltr engine squeezed into a small, light car. Rated 172 bhp but think its a bit more
Misses a Turbo for that kick, but still good fun
Yep- thinking go faster stickers all over, but actually quite like the "stealth" look. Surprises a few people
It has a "stealth" exhaust and always wondered what it meant. Its pretty noisywith a deep bassy note, which is fab, then realised you cant see any exhaust from the back. Assume thats the "stealth" part. LOL
You must come on track day with us. Meet all my Clio friends who can give you advice on what to do to it to get the best out of it on circuit.
Here's them all gathered yesterday
Pity it not a ds3, feeling lonely out there.

Yes- thatd be good. Hoping to do a few tracks over the next year, love Silverstone. Already got Lydden sesh's booked, not a track Ive ever fancied TBH. But will give anything a go
See all your colleagues are trailered- thats serious stuff then LOL (All look like 182s too- some say PH1 172s are faster)
I'm just whizzing around with standard seatbelt and seats atm. Road legal and drive to and from tracks.
Could put a roll cage in, doesnt seem that hard, and racing seats and strip the car down. But want to give it a go round a few tracks first. Changing fluid to DOT 5.1 and spare pads etc etc
Only perfromance mods in reality will be boreing out the throttle body to 64mm, but not sure how much difference it makes
ITB's be best, but then you start wandering into 4 figure sum £££££s
Must point out, am not a good driver, just like pustting my foot down when i can, and practice my cornering Ha!
