your average MPG???

I hit a new record on mine last week, they say that a diesel needs to run a good few thousand miles before it starts to find its feet, well my wee motor found it's feet the other day there clocking in at 68.8mpg, but that didn't last long soon as I hit the town roads.

Still I'm managing very good MPG on average with about 61.3 being my weekly average at the mo.

110 DSport, 2000 miles on the Clock

Typical MPG over a full tank is about 52. with mixed use.
Best on a 170 mile trip (Motorway) was 63.

HDI 110 Best 76 mpg worst 47, average 58.7 7000 miles in 3 months, most out of 1 tank of juice 630 miles

I'm just over 1000 miles in now (in under 2 weeks!) and last night on a 130 mile journey, mostly motorways managed just over 47mpg on the THP (With Pipercross induction), 70mph cruising mostly.

HDI 90. Had a dodgy week this week and had to fill up today, but will reset one of my trips on Monday when I start my normal slog. I do grandad speeds though, set the limiter to 63mph once I hit the motorway.

Worth it though as that's what I bought the car for.

All depends on how you drive it mate. I do 100 miles a day, about 60 of them is on the motorway so that's when my average shoots up, well dribbles up is more the word there. Although the display reads these 63's, 65's, 68's for me, my weekly average has never been over 63 when it's worked out properly, that on-board thing just tries to make me feel good I reckon!

Last weekend went to Fort William from Aberdeen, across the Grampians, then up to Inverness and then Aberdeen. 350 miles mixed driving, up to 70 etc lots of overtaking in our DS3 hdi 110 sport, and averaged 65.6 mpg, at 42 mph average overall. Wow.

Been doing all town driving this week with a very heavy right foot and looked at the comp and it said I had done 72miles with 29.7mpg :-( (must drive better)
