  • Repair for cash- or on the books?

Purchased my DSport DS3 just over 2 months ago, and the rear bumper has a large bumper scuff, and a few hairline crack along the length, obvs a minor bump as I checked out the below and all was straight

Got it for a real good price, and knew there was time before Winter to get it done

Have had 3 quotes, all around £150 for at home repair of just the scuff, and another £190 + VAT at a new body shop close to one of my offices. Whole bumper respray.
Then I had a friend of a friend quote almost exactly the top amount, although thought "private" jobs would be cheaper

So do I go for a cash job without any paperwork or guarantee, or a proper invoiced and VAT job

Oh.... and there is another minor bump on front wing where the Mrs used it to go shopping!!! But that's another story, and another £80 I reckon. LOL.

Sorry Chris_Blue , I missed this one pal. It think in the long run it would be the sensible choice, so you can go back and get it put right for nothing if its not up to...... erm...... scratch.....
