  • Dipstick

my ds3 seems to be using a lot of oil.. but apparently this is normal.. one litre per 1000 miles
I’d like to keep an eye on it, but I can’t read the dipstick, so I rely on the ‘top up’ message.
Can anyone tell me how to read the dipstick?

What engine/model? That's not normal. Put a bit of cardboard under the engine overnight to see if there any leaks

There are at least 5 different types of dipsticks (Which we found out at a club meet about 6 years ago)

There may be a notch at top and bottom of full and empty level, maybe a flatter piece where the oil lever is deemed ok

Can you get a photo up?

Have you sought any other advice in the last 7 months?

If its not leaking, it must be being burnt

          How the spark plugs look?

Wonder if we have to wait another 7 months for a reply ;-)
