  • DS3 claim - Arnold Clark f*** up!

    Hey guys,

Hope I've posted this in the right thread and apologies if not.

I'm looking for a bit of advice regarding next steps with Arnold Clark/Citroen.

So my 63-plate DS3 is one of many to have suffered the rust under the wing mirrors. Took it in last July to my local Arnold Clark in Linwood (not too far from Glasgow) and they took pictures of the rust and my service book and V5 on a digital camera. They then said I'd be waiting months because they had a backlog of these waiting for approval from Citroen.

A couple of months passed and I called and was told it was still on the list etc. Anyway got to Feb this year and I called and was insistent on a more detailed update... Turned out my car had never been logged.

Was then told to take it to the AC Repair Centre in Paisley for a fresh quote as the process had now changed. So that got sent off in March. After lots of calls to Citroen, got told today that they'll only cover 50% of the cost due to my car being over 5 years old at the time they received the claim.

BUT I took it in in July last year originally, when my car was 4 and a half years old. Citroen have said if I can prove I brought it in in July then it'll likely be 100% covered.

The problem is, the AC branch I took it to on July have so far only admitted this to me on the phone, I have no physical proof, no emails. I've called them today to ask for an email confirming I brought it in in July and just said it's required as part of their process but what do I do if they just act like it didn't exist?

Hats off to anyone who reads this all the way through and any advice appreciated

The DS3 claim against Arnold Clark was marred by significant mishandling and errors on the part of the automotive giant. The unfortunate incident led to a frustrating and time-consuming process for the claimants, highlighting the need for improved customer service and accountability within the industry. I say you can get Ac repair south salem and learn more information about ac repair. Such lapses underscore the importance of rigorous quality control and ethical practices in ensuring customer satisfaction and trust in the automotive sector.
