    Hiya, newbie plz be nice haha coolant is leaking from right behind the engine, before I ask the other half to start stripping to find cause anybody think head gasket? Ds3 automatic

      Thanks chris, coolant is totally dry after aboutv2 miles driving, have constant white smole from exhaust

          Hi Justine . I think I remember someone having an issue something like this and it was a fault with the water pump or thermostat. I can't remember exactly which though.

            does the water dump on the road?

            Could be head gasket, but as Funky says check the thermostat, water pump, radiator, and as much pipework as you can get at etc etc

            White smoke from tailpipe can well be head gasket

              Yeah water is streaming out from behind the engine onto the road. Cannot see where it is coming from underneath, think he is going ro remove air filter etc and see if can see anything from above?

                water pump fail, or coolant hose would be my thought without seeing it

                  Thanks all, found the leak it was on the thermostat housing. Beyond us so trip to the garage £220 fitted etc. White smoke maybe coolant leaked into places but garage suggested too much oil! Thanks again for replies
